What if the Church were ONE as Jesus prayed?

My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.
— John 17: 20-21

Jesus prayed in John 17 that His disciples may be one.  And that because of the oneness, God would be glorified and the world would know that Jesus is who He says He is.  It’s been said that, “our oneness is our witness.”  So how do Christians go about becoming one?  One way is to pray.  

So we are going to pray. 

For 24 hours a day.

7 days a week.

For the 4 weeks of May.

744 hours of non-stop prayer for the Holland/Zeeland Community.

To the 1 and only God.

May is a transitional month in Holland/Zeeland community.  Graduations, Tulip Time, Senior week at the State Park, and Memorial Day, which brings with it the beginning of summer.  And in the middle of it all is a period of 5 days known as One Community Weekend where we will celebrate the unity we already have in our community, ask God to bless that, and pray for MORE.  

Ephesians 3:20-21 

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
