what is a prayer room?
A prayer room is a creative prayer space that enables continuous hours of prayer, bringing friends, communities and churches together to seek the presence of God.
Ancient Celts used the phrase “thin places” to describe where the veil between heaven and earth becomes so thin that prayer flows easily, and the still, small voice of God is heard clearly.
People often report that their sense of the Presence of God in the prayer room deepens as the space is saturated in prayer. Over and over, people report that in the presence of God, one hour in the Prayer Room feels like ten minutes. Sometimes people who don’t know Jesus are drawn into the prayer room and find themselves feeling close to Him there.
God is always with us – but when we set a space aside specifically as a place to meet with Him, He loves to answer our invitation. -24/7 Prayer

what can I expect?
When you enter JOY 99.3 FM, you’ll be greeted by hosts in the lobby who will direct you to the prayer room. In the the prayer room you’ll find lots of options of how to spend your time in prayer. Stations will be set up around the room to guide you if you’d like. Stations for adoration, confession, thanksigving and petition. Don’t feel like using the stations? Feel free to bring your Bible and journal and stay awhile. What will you be praying about? Whatever God brings to your mind. This is a space for you to stop the busy rhythms of your day and make room for God to meet you through prayer. This is your time to encounter the living God.
If you’d like someone to pray with you, just ask your hosts. We’d be honored to pray with and for you.
“I am convinced, however, that our constant activity is fruitless without first making that humble act of kneeling to pray. I am convinced that prayer is not only our greatest privilege, but also our greatest source of power.” ― Pete Greig
“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”
— Luke 11: 9-10
